Juno turned two this week (just after we returned from another couple of weeks at 'The Palms'). Two weeks of sand and surf turned her into a fearless water baby – and something of an all-round daredevil: check her out on the rocking horse (a birthday gift) and helping dad by mowing the lawn...

A life more pastoral

You can see the way that out two equine companions have been ingratiating themselves into the family. Billy can, apparently, let himself into the house and open the fridge. It won't be long before they are both curled up on the rug in front of the fire...

The latest additions to the family: two miniature horses, Nick and Billy. Jess has signalled that there are more to come. Shots 4 & 5 in this series were taken by the extremely talented Ian Robertson, part of my present to Jess for her 40th.
